 CHP Digital Classroom provides the necessary MiCHWA-approved training to become a Community Health Worker (CHW), Patient Educator Specialist, or Patient Care Provider. Through our specialized education, students complete 126 hours of digital classroom-based training and 40 internship hours. Our program features module capstone options for particular healthcare populations of focus. Graduates use their training to become certified healthcare providers, reshaping care team patient outcomes and empowering community health transition through demographic surveys and data collection.

Tuition: $1,500.00 + books and fees (financial assistance available fo rqualifying candidates).

Total Training Hours: 166 hours (126 hours coursework + 40 hours internship)

Duration: 8-weeks (Cohorts: 6 per year - Duration: January 2025 - December 2030)

Training Overview: 

Community Health Workers (CHWs) are frontline public health workers who make an immediate and positive impact in their communities. Formal training and certification enhance CHW skills, abilities, and employability. And for CHWs who’ve been in the field, continuing education presents new opportunities for career advancement.

Soul Grace Coaching Co. and its affiliate training partners are providing the Nationally recognized core competency-based Community Health Worker Certificate Training. Highly trained Community Health Worker training (CHW Training) is an essential component of successful Community Health Worker programs and in order to gain the most benefit from training sessions, our trainers build on the skills that Community Health Workers already have, present information in a culturally appropriate and accessible way, and review key knowledge areas as well as provide specific tools and techniques for the programs they will be working in. This course aligns with the standards of the C3 Project Core Competencies for Community Health Workers, as well as many state certification programs, and recognized best practices. Most importantly, it is led by NCHW’s team of experts CHWs who have conducted training nationally and currently work in the field as CHWs.

Training Includes

A total of 166 hours of instruction, independent study, assignments, quizzes, exams and instructor coaching. Textbook, student workbook, Mental Health First Aid training, ACEs training and Impact Education Coaching. Lifetime access to virtual learning modules and the NCHW registry.
